July 1, 2010 Six Feet of Bubble Gum Remember that commercial? That was way back. Believe it or not, I found an old Bubble Tape dispenser in a box of toys. That's not surprising, being that I am a hoarder after all. It brought back alot of memories. Or maybe I'm just really nostalgic. So I wanted to do a painting of it. And here it is! In progress.... ![]() •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• June 30, 2010 Malfunction Intervention Finally got this painting finished! For it's size, it's one of the most detailed ones that I've done, considering it's so tiny. It's about 7.3 x 5 inches. I'm happy with how it turned out. It's called Malfunction Intervention. Those are robots from Star Wars, with the C-3PO carrying case as a backdrop! ![]() •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• June 15, 2010 Packin Heat Just finished this painting! Thinking of calling it "Packin' Heat." ![]() •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• June 3, 2010 Malfunction Intervention in Progress Working on a new painting! This one is still in progress. I started off with an acrylic underpainting and have applied one or two layers of oil on top. I christen this painting: Malfunction Intervention. Haha! I've been watching too much Intervention on A&E. These are the robots from Star Wars. They are as follows: 21-B, R2-D2, IG-88, and 4-LOM. ![]() •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• May 12, 2010 Used Car Lot in progress. First coat of oil, on top of acrylic underpainting. ![]() ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• May 11, 2010 Just finished a Transformers painting on paper! This one is called Optimus Prime after a classic figure from 1984 done for a friend's birthday. This figure is about as cool as they get. Because trust me, I looked around Wally World hoping I would find something similar to this to no avail. Normally, I try to work exclusively from my own photographs, but because this figure was a little difficult to track down I had to work from a photograph from the internet. ![]() |
